QUOTE(parag_sankla @ May 9 2007, 09:59 PM) *

Kamalakant ji, thanks for this wonderful and relatively rare number. A small correction...I think the wordings are "Sama hain bahar ka Le le maza bahar ka"

Regards
Parag

Thanks Parag Ji for your appreciation of the song from ASHIANA

With my little knowledge in Hindi & Urdu, I am to explain as follows.

There are 3 “Sama’s.
1st: SAMA means Sky
2nd: SHAMA means Candle
3rd SAMAN (Which is applied in the song in question) means Scene / Nazara(In Hindi)
Here the MA (In Hindi), you find a symbol on the top of MA as in case of Jawan / Karwan etc.

Actually in this song, it should be SAMAN (in my opinion) when written in English.

Here “Saman “ is used as a singular noun. Hence the next word shall have to be “Hae” and not "Hain". "Hain" becomes plural.

Thus the song (Mukhda) goes like this-

“SAMAN HAE BAHAR KA, LE LE MAZA PYAR KA, AAJA AAJA SANWRE, AAJA AAJA BAWRE, HO AAJA.

Any other expert may kindly explain in a better way(Better than what I have explained above).

Kamala Mohanty

Thanks KamalaJi for this nice upload and IMO also there cannot be a better explanation to the song mukhda as explained by you.

Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove this song! wub.gif It's such a pretty tune, easily hummable.

Vyjayanthimala sings this to her doc beau Sunil Dutt in this film.
