Song 1: sadaa kush rahe tu jafaa karne waale (BitRate: 128; 4:36min)

Song 2: ho gaye do roz mein ... vafaa jinse ki bevafaa ho gaye (BitRate: 128; 3:15min)

cry.gif i downloaded sadaa khush rahe tu...thinking it has something that my version doesnt have....as the time shown was over a minute longer than my 3 min version..................but...alas...the time given here is incorrect.......n this version too is of 3:16 .........i keep bemoaning my ratio...with all my idiotic downloads cry.gif

Hari Ram ji. I believe these are two different songs. Neverthe less both are great songs and thanks for
u/l but may be wrong thread.

Desai bhai,

I chose these songs as twin, based on their tune.

Hari Ram

I can't see them as twins either Hari Ram ji. Just my 2 cents... not disputing your ear or anything smile.gif

is there a longer version of sadaa khush rahe?

I listened to two separate tracks I have, and both are much the same - 3.15 or thereabouts. I guess if someone has a Video/ DVD they can check for a longer version.

Talaikya,

I don't know why I hear striking similarity between the two song tunes. Try to skip the second song's mukhda and listen to the antara. Compare the lines 'sadaa kush rahe tu jafaa karne waale' and 'vafaa jinse ki, bevafaa ho gaye'. If I am the only one seeing the smilarity, I will remove this set from the list.

I think Hari Ram is right. I played the songs to my son who knows nothing about Indian songs. He said the tunes are the same. This is one of the criteria for twin songs. Hari Ram, there is no need to delete the songs.

Thanks for checking on the song. That was a clever way to check the tune.

No problem. My son has a pretty good ear to the music. Unfortunately, he was not exposed to indian film music. I also listened to the 2 songs. The tunes are the same except for the first few lines(mukhda).

Nothing of that sort, Venkat.
I enjoy participating, reading many music related posts and listening to some rare songs contributed by members of this forum.
In return, with my spare time, I try to share what ever little collection I have got.

Venkat Ji, Thanks for letting me know of this version of the song.

Yeh Mera Prem Patra
1:40 Mins, 160 Kbps.

Shish bhai,

Thanks for uploading this trio from Sangam. I remember this sad version in the movie. However, I don't recollect the duet version; gives me a reason to watch the movie after a long time.
Wasn't this song that caused rift between S and J?

Hari Ram

Hari Bhai,

Unfortunately, the Big Sisters of HFM (one or the other or both) were responsible for many a rift and much bad-blood in Hindi Film Music field! Not only for the SJ rift.

But, that would need a full-fledged thread to understand!

Venkat

Venkat,
Thanks for your message!
I am trying to find your "rifts" thread.Where is it posted!
