'Joru Ka Bhai', with Lata's "Subah ka intezar kaun kare" and "Tu sach batla mujhe jogi balam se baat kab hogi", not to speak of Talat's "Teri zulfon se pyar kaun kare", was an impressive debut by Jaidev as an independent composer. These three numbers rank as all-time classics, and were a pointer to the fact that Dada Burman's assistant was no less a composer - in his own metier - than Dada Burman himself.
