Many thanks, Mujahid ji, for this song from a movie I had seen in my pre-teen years. I vaguely remember this movie as one in which Sanjeev Kumar steals from the mandir and becomes rich. Lord Krishna then pops in every now and again to 'bug' him about it...

You are absolutely spot-on joshi bhai...In fact Yahi Hai Zindagi(1977) is one of the finest works of Sanjeev Kumar...This film did not do wonders at the box-office,coming from an unknown South Indian film director(K.S. Sethumadhavan) & no big names to boost except of course SK.

But the fact that SK was at his usual impressive best & able support from Romesh Sharma [Madhu Narayan][SK's son who marries Utpal Dutt's daughter], Utpal Dutt himself, SK's wife[I think it was Vijaylaxmi but I'm not too sure] & of course Vikram Gokhale[who played Krishna] makes the viewer remember the movie long after.

There are a few unknown facts about this movie particularly this being only the 2nd movie in which Vikram Gokhale has acted in. Also, if you look closely, the shy boy with whom Sanjeev Kumar's daughter falls in love with is Mehmood's son Maqsoom Mehmood Ali better known as Lucky Ali [debut appearance] wacko.gif There's even a full song picturised on both of them which I presume the male version in the duet has been sung by Guru.

Some more info - Joshi and Mujahid Yehi Hai Zindagi was actually a remake of a Tamil movie (featuring Thengai Srinivasan and also inspired from an english movie Oh God (Can't remember the name of the film). - Yehi Hai Zindagi had a South Indian director too K. S Sethumadhavan - a popular malayalam film director)

Also, after i posted my message, started wondering who Krishna was in the movie. Didn't even realize that it was Vikram Gokhale. I started recognizing him only after he came in some DD serial quite a few ago. For some reason, I was under the impression that it was Abhi Bhattacharya.
