I grew up in a small town which had only a tourist tent which used to show mostly kannada movies or some MGR tamil movies.Hindi movies were generally considered a taboo because the temperature was a bit higher there and the poor ladies there used to wear less kapda..Also one was not familiar with the language.

One had to wait till the rebellious age(it was higher those days) to go on one's own and watch movies!!

There was a lot of resistance from parents even for my KK bug.

Ohhhhh sad.gif I can very well imagine sigh.gif I had curfew too when I was in college to go for movies, but then I would bunk classes on wednesday afternoon rollf.gif when we had 2 periods of library and one language wink.gif so our absence was never noticed tongue1.gif

I recollect during my school days, we used to sneak into that "tent" of ours and watch bits and pieces of movies and sneak out. I remember MGR-NAMBIAR's sword fights, Rajkumars fights and rajesh Khanna's movies etc.

Jo baat sneaking mein hai woh seedhe dekhne mein kahan laugh.gif hehehehe In chennai those tent movies theatres were called Kottaiyi hehehehe! Those were those lovely days of past rolleyes.gif and I miss them real badly. wacko.gif

kada=shop

u know those thatched shops where they serve dosas.

Never Azad it was so much fun bunking.. Our college watchman was one dumbo! We used to call him hitler coz he would act tough and ask us to get the permission slip, but during lunch break even if any elephant entered the campus he would let it in hahahahaha.

Plus there was a break in the wall on the rear side of the campus which was easy for us to slip out biggrin.gif
