QUOTE(sanjkash @ Jun 10 2007, 02:33 PM) *

I am adding one very nice duet. Majority is sung by Lata, but there comes Rafi sahab with jus one line in a stanza, and that is more than enough for us. Even though Rafi sings one line, I have put his name in front (prior to Lata and that is how I sort my collection as well, Rafi comes first).

Sanjay

Sanjay:

You are really a diehard Rafi fan. In all my song collections, I mention Rafi's name only in male tandem songs such as Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan (Pyar Ka Mausam). In tandem songs, in which there is also a female song, I write the letter "M" to indicate that this a "Male" tandem and I know instantly that it is a Rafi tandem without even mentioning it. If it were any other male voice, I would have mentioned the name of the singer. In Rafi's duets, trios, quartets, pentets, etc. I just mention the name(s) of the co-singer(s) preceded by the letter "w" which means "with." As Rafi is thus understood to be in all the songs I no longer write his name in vain. This is easy for me because more than 95% of my collection is just about Rafi.

Lakshmi,
Please continue uploading your songs with no hesitation.

Even though Rafi sings one line, I have put his name in front (prior to Lata and that is how I sort my collection as well, Rafi comes first). Also note, Rafi sahab has given a heavenly start to this song. No need to mention, but credits go as well to Lata, S & especially SJ.
Singers: Rafi & Lata
Song: Dil ka na karna aetbaar koi (4:49, 128kbps)
Film: Halaku (1956)
Lyrics: Shailendra
Music: Shankar Jaikishan

Hope you enjoy
Sanjay

Sanjay Ji,

It would be surprising if I ever do not agree with you! Very true, Rafi Saab's brief ending line for each Antara beats Lata's longish (no doubt, nice) effort earlier! That is Rafi Saab!

On the flip-side, because of members like you (and you know who) others have stopped uploading here.

Flex and Reeth,

Myapologies to both of you for writing the aboe sentence. Reeth, you are right. No one is forcing me to upload here. I do it because I enjoy doing it. Flex, it doesn't bother me if others don't upload in this thread. I am not in any kind of competition. I take appreciation and criticism in the same way. If I am at fault, I am thefirst one to feel bad and go back and say sorry. It all started because I thanked Mohd for that song. Being nice doesn't mean I have to be dishonest. I still feel that I was right in giving credit to Mohd. I didn't even know that you had uploaded that song before. Forgive me if I have offended you.

Pray, what is this happening between three very good people! Kindly consider the fact that all of you are well-wishers of this forum, before writing further posts.

And sorry for intervening.

Venkat

Oh, Reeth, my post was not meant for you at all. Go ahead and write what you want, but preferably in your favorite chit-o-chat forum!!

Incidentally, be informed that I know with whom I should use a high-handed, ruthless attitude and with whom I should use a civil and polite attitude! Besides, I did not include you in the three people I referred to above, just in case you fancied otherwise!

Lakshmi or any other members,

I am looking for a good quality audio of the Rafi song 'baabul ki duayen lethi ja' from Neel Kamal along with Rafi's commentary (about the song recording a few days after his own daughter's wedding).
My audio of this song is at low bitrate and it's quality is not very good.
