Friends,
Hope you get some relaxing by devoting some thoughts to whatever you believe in. To be honest, I am an atheist (but does not mean a non-believer).
Singers: Rafi & Asha
Song: Jai raghunandan jai siyaram (3:19, 128kbps)
Film: Gharana (1961)
Lyrics: Shakeel Badayuni
Music: Ravi

Enjoy
Sanjay

Sanjkash ji, I have an alarm clock with CD player in it. I wake up to this bhajan, it is wonderful. along with other Pandit Jasraj, Juthika Roy. I feel, it is fantastically done.

Paresh ji
I agree fully with you. One other song that fits very well for waking up is "Ghanashyam sundara shridhara arunodaya zala", which is by the a Marathi song. If you ever get a chance to listen to that one, please do it.
Sanjay

Sanjay Ji,

In olden days, Vividh Bharati use to play this song at morning 06:30 AM, immediately after announcer says ' Ye Akashwani Hai..' & the song starts. Being a child, I use to woke up hearing the song. The words, the tune & voice are like 'Patther Ki Lakir' in my memory & will remain till last breath.

If you have this song, please, upload it here or at SKS or e-mail me.

Thanks

USR

USR ji!
You said it rightly "Pathher ki lakir". It is a heavenly musical piece. I have e-mailed it to you.
I do not know, but I guess there will be an objection uploading it here. I will at least have to take Lakshmi's permission for that.
Anyway, if anyone wants it (& how), please let me know.

Lakshmi,
Thank you very much for your very royal attitude. This is an exceptional upload, in Marathi, but definately worthy one. I am sure language is not a barrier here for good music (we all know it from your case of not understanding Hindi).
Here it is...., for those keeping their heart open for music other than in Hindi language.
Singers: Panditrao Nagarkar, Lata & Asha
Song: Ghanashyam sundara shreedhara (3:26, 128kbps)
Film: Amar Bhoopali (1951)
Music: Vasant Desai

Enjoy

Sanjay,

I know this song. My uncle who lived in Bombay used to sing this song. I thought it was from a hindi movie. Thanks for the song

[ I have also learnt that the HF is full of generous uploaders (including yourself) & they will not (would not) mind too much about not getting the credits. If you somehow know the 1st uploader or someone points out, that's fine. Please continue your superb uploads as there are many more benefitting from it than some generous first uploaders would even mind about getting the credits.
Sanjay

Well said Sanjay. I was away from the forum for a while and when now i see some members here are uploading songs that I belive they have got from me and other members while we were in another forum and there is not even a vague mention of from where they have got these songs. Not a major issue for me as I dont own these songs and no one does.

Cheers

PLAYBACK SINGING STARTS AND ENDS WITH RAFISAAB. IN TERMS OF QUALITY, CONSISTENCY & VERSATILITY, RAFISAAB IS INFINITE LIGHT YEARS AHEAD OF ALL SINGERS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER HIM.

Dear SS,
Welcome back to HF. The music lovers will always have big and open heart. Thank you for positively looking at my note. It is indeed very difficult to always correctly know the first uploader. We all definately don't want to go to court or fight on this issue.

Thanks Lakshmi. You need not mention that you do not know the source or the original. Only mention the source when you know it. Your silence in this supposedly sensitive issue will be taken to mean that you do not know the source even if you fail to articulate as such. Hopefully this will save you some typing especially when your eyes trouble you and you plan to upload by the millions.
