Siddiqui sahab, why ask at all? smile.gif Thanks for all the songs, especially the last one.

Out of the three, two happen to be real favourites of someone i know. Brings back a lot of memories.

Sajdah Ji,

Thanks immensely to you and Faizel Ji for this Falak Bola in 2 parts. Remember having heard it once, but not sure. Excellent composition, nice lyrics and great rendition by Rafi Saab in his ever-convincing voice!

The tune must be a standard tune utilised in Mushaira's, etc., while reading poetry. I say this because there are other songs with this mukhda tune.

Venkat

Well, yes, that's true. smile.gif Venkat ji, are you a regular at poetry symposiums / mushairas?

“Wafa Ke Deep” ( Movie Version)

Movie – Ustadon Ke Ustad
Music – Ravi

Ah, love, let us be true
To one another! For the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of dreams,
So various, so beautiful, so new,
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light,
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain.

- Matthew Arnold, Dover Beach

Duration – 05:31
Format – MP3

Sajdah,
As I read the song lines I did not realize it was "Sau bar janam lenge" (which is mostly known) and so downloaded, but, hey, I can (& I will) downoad such songs any number of times. This one I sang, played on instruments zillian times during my college days & even today I keep on listening to my favorites, whete this song belongs. Thanks for other great uploads.
Friends,
I am adding another favorite of mine. This one is a very NASHEELA song and has been as popular as Sau bar janam lenge. Listen to the song, I am sure you have gone through this (state), if not BOY OH BOY you are really missing (or have missed) something. It is never too late, open up and let your sweetheart, darling, dearest one know your state. Am I at excessive advising?
Singer: Rafi
Song: Tu mere saamne hai teri (4:02, 128kbps)
Film: Suhagan (1968)
Lyrics: Hasrat Jaipuri
Music: Madan Mohan

Enjoy
Sanjay

Earthmusic says, Lyrics: Asad Jafry & Film: Shakti.
The lyrics read: Ae musavvir tu zara yaar ki tasveer bana (could it be the same song?)

Sanjkash Ji,

Sincere thanks for this hamesha-jawan geet.

Venkat

P.S. Mere Saamne Wali Khidki Mein Ek Sanjkash Ji Rehta Hai, Afsoch Hai Yeh Ke Woh Ham Se Kuch Ukhda Ukhda Rahta Hai!

I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!
