Friends,

After listening to the great Rafi solo from Barood(1960) uploaded above by Sanjay Ji, I am tempted to try out the other two Rafi Saab's songs from this movie. After all, MD is the great Khayyam Saab!

1."Aise Na Munh Chhupaavo, Mar Jaayenge Yun Hi Ham"---Film:Barood(1960)---MD:Khayyam---Rafi & Lata

2. "Teri Aankhon Ka Rang Niraala Hai, Meri Aankhon Mein Tu"--Film:Barood(1960)--MD:Khayyam--Rafi & Lata

I have no clue as to what these songs are, unless I happen to recognise any of them after listening.

Could Sanjay Ji or someone else please upload these?

Thanks,

Venkat

I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Kamalakant Ji,

Many thanks for this excellent duet. There is another Khayyam song from some other film that resembles the Mukhda of this song. But, I am struggling to remember it!

Could someone please upload the other duet listed above?

Venkat

Thank you Venkatji and Kamala for better quality "Teri Aankhon ka..." song, as mine is of really poor quality and is cut in the midle.

For the one "Aise na munh..." I thought I had it, but cannot find anymore. But, we should humbly request SKSIDDIQUI sahab to reupload it.
Thanks in advance SK sahab.

Venkat:

You are lucky that I have not still thrown away the poorer quality 128 kbps track. However, it is in mono. For a stereo I have a 192 kbps which is forbidden in this Forum. Nevertheless, something is better than nothing. So here it goes:

Barood 60 = Aise Na Muh Chupavo - w Lata ~ Khayyam [Hasrat Jaipuri]

[3m 18s - 128 kbps - Mono - 44100 MHz]

Enjoy.

Binod.

PS:

Venkat, how do you manage to see a song much less see its color? All I can do is hear and feel a song. Please do a report on this song as we do not want HF to be just a song exchange forum completely bereft of discussions. Thanks.

Binod bhai thank you for the song. bow.gif

Venkatbhai thanks for requesting it --- color or no color. By the way mention of color reminds me of a Rafi sahab's song - Is rang badalti duniya mein insaan ki neeyat teek nahi.. -- what a song, featured on Shammi Kapoor ji.

Binod,

Sincere thanks for uploading this nice duet from a rare film. You must have been one of the not more than 10 people in HF to have had it in possession.

After hearing it two times, I can say that it is a very nice duet, while the other duet, "Teri Aankhon Ka Rang Nirala Hai" has a 5% edge over this.

Thanks once again and keep helping this thread!

Friends,

Today, while listening to Bhoole Bhisre Geet at 7 A.M. on Vivdhbharati, I have discovered an extremely nice and a very rare solo of Rafi Saab from a Film called MOHINI(1957). The MD is N.Datta.

"Kya Kya Na Sitam Tujh Pe Huve Mahalon Ki Raani"---Film:Mohini(1957)---ND:N.Datta---Rafi

Now, friends, this song's tune is almost identical (both in Mukhada and Antaras) to N.Datta's own "Tu Hind Bane Ya Na Musalmaan Banega" from Film:Dhool Ka Phool(1959)!

Could someone like CM2 Ji or Mirsa Ji or other seniors please upload this very nice song?

Thanks,

Venkat

Friends,

"Marna Teri Gali Mein, Jeena Teri Gali Mein" is a well-known song by Lata from Film:Shabab--MD:Naushad.

But, USrafian Ji has uploaded in SKS a short 1.17 bit of this same song sung by Rafi Saab!

USrafian Ji has indeed made my day with this divine short rendition by Rafi Saab of Marna Teri Gali Mein from Shabab! I cannot find words to express my joy on listening to this bit.

There is absolutely no laya accompaniment in this bit and see the amazing control with which Rafi Saab sings it! My sincere thanks to USR. I am reuploading it here in Rafi forum, courtesy Usrafian Ji.

Venkat

Who are the big-wigs Venkat? How did you check and how did you find out? Do you send out a spyware? Did you know that I have a slightly differently coded version of the song that Kamala uploaded and I am sure zilllions of the old members who have continued to remain in this Forum must have this track stashed away somewhere, perhaps in a mobile HD like I do so that spywares do have any access to them.

Binod, while I cannot tell you all my modii-operandi, I can tell you that I did not see this song in the recently up-dated "My Whole Collection" of Yusuf, to which I am privy.
