Hi Friends,

Any uploaders for "Husn Wale Husn Kaa Anjaam Dekh, Doobte Sooraj..."--Film: Qawwali Ki Raat-- Music: Iqbal Quereshi--Rafi-Asha-Chorus ?

Venkat

I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Friends,
Has anyone ever heard this nice song:
"Chaman Ki Jaaaaaan Ho, Rangeen Yeh Bahaaaaaar Ho Tum" (To give you some idea of the tune, the words, Jaan and Bahaar are stretched long!)
Can anyone please throw light on who (is it Rafi Saab?) sang this song and for which film, etc.
Venkat

earthmusic is a good site (not always accurate though) to check info like this :
http://www.earthmusic.net/

chaman ki jaan ho
singer : suresh rajvanshi
music : mohd shafi (probably the same one who assisted Naushad in many films during the 60s, 70s)
Lyrics : qafil azar
Film : Irada (1971)

info from earthmusic and other sources

Sri,

Very valuable information and thanks for the same. This Suresh Rajvanshi's voice was quite like that of Rafi Saab! It was sounding even more similar as he too was using some of Rafi Saab's sangats such as a certain dragging of words, etc.

The tune too was nice. I was hearing it on Vividhbharati the other day. Only, I missed out on the singer's name and film.

Thanks

Venkat

Anupama Ji,

Thank you very much. Indeed, it is a lovely song. Rafi Saab whispers the mukhda the first two times and then decides to say it openly the last time around!

Please see how many nice songs Iqbal Quereshi has produced for "Flop Films" with Flop Heroes!

If he had the patronage of Dev or Shammi or Rajendra or at least Biswajit/Joy, he would have reached the heights reached by our more fortunate MDs.

Friends,

Please upload "Kitni Haseen Ho tum, Kitni Haseen (2), Kitni"--- Film: Yeh Dil Kis Ko Doon---Music: Iqbal Quereshi--Rafi-Asha. This one is even better than the first one.
