I know that these days a lot of people are prowling around and pleading for songs and even using their marketing skills to get them. But we need to stop to think before we get overwhelmed and lose our priorities and perspectives. Previously, this Forum was for people who wished to share and still you have a lot of people like Lakshmi, Faizal, Sazdah, Yusuf, Mohan, Haneef, Dharman Khan, SKS, and others who spend hours pouring out their love for music and for music fans. Now, it seems there is a whole crop of music enthusiasts that keep on demanding songs and devote whole threads just for this purpose. Times are changing and I guess we need to adjust.

Shahrukh3000, are all these songs from your list really good? Where did you hear about these songs?

Otherwise we might as well have all the unposted songs from Salim Ul Haq's Mohd. Rafi book listed as a wish list in a separate thread and pin the thread so that it is always on the first page. As and when songs are u/l'ed we can cross them out.

Somebody had previously mentioned about recognizing the most prolific u/l'er. We can keep track and hold an annual Filmfare-like award ceremony to award the best u/l'ers or do something similar.

You should have patience. We have not yet completely absorbed and enjoyed the songs of Duniya Rang Rangeeli and you have already come to "Mitti Mein Sona (1960)".

No doubt, Mitti Mein Sona has some very nice songs, just not known to the earlier poster (!). That he does not know any songs at all, for that matter, is no brainer, because he must have by now downloaded each song at least 10 times from this great HF, without any discernment or discrimination. So, can we say that he does not know which song is which and, much worse, he does not know which songs he is having and which he is not!

And what did he himself upload so far? Near Zero. Not that anyone is looking forward to his uploads! Because he just does not know which song is which!

What is laughable is that he had the maximum GB downloaded from this thread too. So what does it say? He specialises in burning (nay, in attempting to burn) the bridges and boats that he uses!

So, let the earlier poster (!) vent out his frustration a little more and then we will take him on more severely and expose him more thoroughly! He is still licking some earlier wounds!

No, Dr Prince. You do not have to be sorry for your good intentions to u/l higher quality songs. A higher bitrate from a better source such as an LP, EP, other vinyl source is like a breath of fresh air, at least for a quality starved person like me.

I am sure that there is not much confusion here as made out to be. Over 95% of the HF’ers can discern a good quality u/l when they come across one and to say that u/l’g a good quality media would lead to confusion is to grossly insult their capability.

Of course, one can always come across some people who are rather territorial and possessive about the thread they have started and would like to have the final say as to what needs to be deleted or not in “their” threads. The reality is that all threads are only loaned out to each and every HF’er. They all belong to the Admins who alone have the final say and can close them down whenever they choose to do so. The only things that belong to us is what we say here.

This thread is a rather long song request thread unlike most other long threads which are initiated by people who would like to u/l and share their own passion with even complete strangers. Most song request threads are seasonal and die off as the demand for a particular song has been met. People do not try to do too much follow up and even if a demand has not been met the thread dies a natural death. One must give credit to the starter of the thread who despite having u/l’d barely half a dozen songs to date has been able to sustain this thread perennially for so long by deftly using his sales skills. Despite this even he cannot still control what people write in "his" thread if people persist in doing so. But this thread is basically a song demand thread and not a song supply thread and one could get into unnecessary controversy if one attempted to change it.

That is why for the benefit of people of this Forum who care for better quality audio media, I request you to u/l this song in one of your own threads when you do find the time. You could also start a thread on only Rafi’s LP’s. We can all take some inspiration from selfless and magnanimous people like Dharman Khan who have done some pioneer work in this area by mass u/l’g vinyl sourced songs in HF and deserve accolades again and again.
