Friends,
No intenton of interupting anybody's song requests.
Adding a beautiful duet (I believe an unreleased song) by Rafi sahab and Ashaji.
This duet will definately remind you of some other songs/tunes (I leave it to you to scratch your heads. Don't worry it will not be very difficult to know.....small hint.... Nai Umar Ki..... The other song will be difficult to find, but let us see....).
Singers: Rafi & Asha
Song: Kitna rangeen hai yeh chaand (4:00, 128kbps)
Film: Unreleased (?)
Lyrics: Indivar
Music: N Dutta

Enjoy
Sanjay

Sanjkash Ji,

Thanks for this nice Rafi-Asha duet.

It resembles "Aaj Ki Raat Badi Shokh Badi Nathkhat Hai" by Rafi-Asha from Nai Umar Ki Nai Fasal (Roshan) and also "Hum Ne Dekhi Hai Un Ankhon Ki Mehak" by Lata from Khamoshi (Hemant Kumar). Do I get full marks?

Venkat

Venkat ji,
Well done, you get 99.95% correct. I left out 0.05% for further possible exploration, as I expect there will some more tunes partially close to some part of this song.

Ha ha ha...I enjoyed that. laugh.gif Perhaps we can go into editing and cut bits and pieces from other unreleased songs which were released late and fool ourselves just to buy some time until the official release! On the serious note, this song is going round and round in circles in my mind and I'm thinking of taking it into the operating theatre now to do some operations of my own, ha ha ha! jump.gif

Friends,

Continuing on the O.P.Nayyar theme, we are yet to get this Rafi-Asha duet from Qaidi (1957):

1."Chhaya Hai Sama, Mera Dil Hai Jawan, Sainya Dil Mein"--Qaidi (1957)---Rafi-Asha---OPN

There is another film called Farishta (1958) starring Ashok Kumar and Meena Kumari. In this film, there is one Rafi-Asha duet:

2."Jo Waqt Pe Kaam Aa Jaaye, Wohi Sahaara Achha Hai"---Farishta(1958)---Rafi-Asha----OPN

Does anyone at all have these songs? If so, kindly share with us.

Venkat

I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

As there are no responses to the post reg. Qaidi (1957) and Farishta(1958), let us move forward.

DUNIYA RANG RANGEELI (1957) is one other OPN film, starring Rajendra Kumar, Johnny Walker, Chand Osmani and Shyama. This film has 4 Rafi songs, one solo and three duets with Asha.

1."Tum Se Dil Kya Lagaaya, Gaye Kaam Se, Hichaki Aane Lagi Ishq"---Duniya Rang Rangeeli(1957)---OPN--Rafi (solo)

2."Tujh Ko Na Koyi Gham, Mujh Ko Na Koyi Gham, Zaalim"---Duniya Rang Rangeeli (1957)---OPN---Rafi&Asha

3."Sainya Kyon Aaye Mujhe Angdayi, Haay Ye Kaisi Nazar"----Duniya Rang Rangeeli(1957)---OPN--Rafi&Asha

4."Woh Jo Chaahne Wale Hain Tere Sanam, Tujhe Dhoondh"----Duniya Rang Rangeeli(1957)---OPN--Rafi&Asha

Any kind uploaders, please?
