Interestingly the version he u'led has the lines "Daal Bhi De Palkon Ki Chhaon".

However the one i have on tape has the lines you mentioned - "Daal Bhi De Zulfon Ki Chhaon Zaalima Dhoop Chadhi Jaaye". It's a pity i cannot upload it here as i still haven't taught myself how to convert the tapes to Mp3's. God willing i'll soon.

Thanks for the link. Yes, CM2 Ji's upload has the word "Palkon" in stead of "Zulfon"! Also, in CM2 Ji's upload, Rafi Saab's voice is less bass than in the Vividhbharati song or probably your tape song! Personally, I felt the basser voice of Vividhbharati is somewhat better!

Any way, got the song and I am thankful to CM2 Ji and you. Probably, nobody can cater to hair-splitters like me (and you?)!

Yes, Venkat ji, you're absolutely right! The "Zulfon" version is the superior of the two - in my view too.

Guess we do have a lot in common - i am referring to the 'hair-splitting' disposition you mentioned.

This is sad and outrageous that a decent, knowledgeable, selfless and dedicated member like Venkat ji has to leave this forum.

This is a setback to this forum and a sad reminder that a small percentage of mischievous specimens are going unchecked. It is impossible for decent members to fall to the low levels of a few rotten specimens and hence I am not surprised that venkat ji has taken this option.

The name of Rafisaab has being abused on more than one occassion in last few weeks and obnoxious comments being made to provoke and hurt Rafians. Good threads have being sabotaged by ludicrous discussions and thinking and senior members targetted to ruin the peace at MAS and we can see the result in way of this current decision of Venkat ji to leave.

I am surprised that some so called Rafians and music lovers have decided to ingore this fact and are simply downloading songs and thanking bigots who have through their appalling actions have created a situation that has made Venkat ji to take this decision. Actions speak louder than words and lip service costs nothing.

As a symbol of my full support to Venkat ji and the decency and grandeur of this forum, I have decided for the time being not to make any further postings in this forum unless one or more and preferably all of the below are achieved

1. Venkat ji is back

2. The supervisors of this site come out with something concrete to keep this mischief makers out of MAS, they must not be allowed to make any postings in MAS at least.

3. The status of paid members, angels are protected in contrast to those non paid members who are vitiating the environment here.


If my request has any weightage, I request Venkat ji to consider taking back his decision and come back to the forum.
