N "Woh kaun thhi" was made in Tamil into a film called "Yaar nee" starring Jayalalitha and Jaishankar (who can match Manoj Kumar's vacant expressions to the last lack of twitch). The music was by "consistently inspired" Veda. P Susheela does an excellent job in most of the songs. She is particularly fantastic in "Ponmeni thazhuvaamal" which is the equivalent of "Lag ja gale". I have the Tamil version of all the songs except the one Nimmi mentioned above. I have a not too great video recording of this one. Nimmi, the song lyrics are "Yen vedhanayil un kaNNiranDum ennoDu azhavadheN kaNNa". I can upload the video version if you like. |

I think all the songs of Woh Kaun Ti were found in Yaar Nee. (Naina Barse-Naane Varuven).
The song Shouk nazar ki bijliyan was slightly modified to Paarvai Onre Podume(not sure about the film..) Varadaraj |
