Some are versions of the hindi songs.. more so coz it is a remake of the hindi movie.. while some have been blatantly copied!
Let us list or u/l songs of both versions (for comparison only.. even a clip of the antara should suffice) N |

If we include Rehman's numbers, we'll be dealing with remakes and re-used tunes only. And to his credit, most tunes are popular in both Hindi and Tamil versions. Do we list his songs too ?
Sri-ji could give us invaluable info about common tunes used in 50's to 70's, while you could list out almost all songs by Veda |

Not one of those mood swings again !  There used to be a dedicated Rahman site that chronologically listed out his musical compostions and which songs were used in which films, including which version came out first. Unfortunately, the link doesnt work now  |
