QUOTE(unni @ Jul 23 2006, 05:41 PM) *

The posts lost are with songs listed for the years from 1972 to 81. I've made notes of only the songs I'm familiar with that are either missing from my collection, or need to check if they "deserve" to be included:

Thank you for the list U ji bow.gif

Yes of course August, that's understandable, I wouldn't expect anyone to recreate all that. I was hoping someone was subscribing to this thread and they had the data posted readily available, but that would be a minor miracle na smile.gif Well as long as we have U ji's shortlist, that in itself is a huuuuge deal.

Onward ho... ! I'll be here with 1982 in a bit, please bear with me.

(I did consider subscribing to this thread henceforth, but with hourly data back ups now, that would be more like the barn door and the bolted horse na?)

I have NO songs from 1983 or 1984 in my compilation. I guess Lata-ji was spending most of her time in London those years. biggrin.gif But she must have recorded some by phone, na? Betcha you guys will come up with them. laugh.gif

T ji

I wd say that ur rating is less. The songs may not be her best rendered songs(for me it is).But still all the three songs were great.I am sure all deserves **1/2 at least.may be I am biased bcs of my immense love for her.

There was a song from Bezubaan(1982?)
'Har ek jeevan hain ik kahaani
par yeh sachai sub ne na jaani'

I think that is also worth a mention.

dil doondtha hain phir vohi fursat ke raat din

Solo from Bezubaan is really worth mentioning anywhere.
Composed by Raam-Laxman, a cool number.

##Another: Hum to hain chhui mui ........Agar tum na hote
Mast mast song ...............

Hey BC,

Welcome back. smile.gif Long time no see. Where were you?

Yes, the Har Ek Jeevan song is a melodious early Ram Laxman composition.
