At least I was impressed, considering it is an old film. Very she-duc-tive. Never did care for Joy Mukherjee, but in this scene he pulls off a bare-chested Aamir Khan performance. His co-star Helen was so impressed, she decided to marry Salim. tongue.gif

Sunil Dutt, Asha Parekh, Joyless Mukherjee and Helen. Bought the video disc because I never ever came across the audio. Great music score. Movie started off well, but eventually ended with the usual dishoom-dishoom. But in "glorious Eastman Colour" and the title had nothing to do with the story, except to give us a gorgeous Mukesh-ji track. Song sequences (too often and at least two with hardly a break) were well picturized.

Guy couldn't act to save his life, but had the good fortune to feature in films with great music. And as if one of him wasn't bad enough, he made a film featuring himself in a double-role ("HUMSAYA"). This time, even the music didn't save him, nor did Sharmila and Mala Sinha. The public said "enough is enough"!

I know virtually nothing about his brother Debu Mukherjee. I think he made a debut and exit in one movie.

I like Joy Mukherjee. Jo bhi ho... hum ko yeh banda pasand hai. Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon dekhiye to pataa chale... kitna comedy kiya hai... ROFLLL not to mention all the goodie good Rafi songs picturized on him and a couple of lovely Asha gems to go with it. Fantastic movie! biggrin.gif

I have recording of Humsaya sitting on my DVD player. Planning to watch it in a few days. Like the songs a lot a lot. JM looks like some Japanese guy in one of the songs.... wonder what the storyline is like.

I thoroughly enjoyed his movies like Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon, Love in Tokyo, Shagird, Love in Simla etc when I was in my teens. Great music, great songs and had good supporting cast.
