Thanks Unni-ji. Yes I had noticed the difference when I watched the movie several years back. I liked the movie version better. I have noticed similar differnce in few other songs although I can't think of any at the moment. I have often wonderd the reason for two versions. I guess they might have changed to fit the movie after the original LP was released. Ramesh I guess those were still the days when a song was recorded twice, once for the movie and a second time for the audio release. If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

Inspired, imaginative lyrics by Anand Bakshi, a soulful tune woven by Kalyanji-Anandji, and the movingly expressive voice of Mukesh-ji --- they came together in "Chaand Aahen Bharega" from "PHOOL BANE ANGAARE". This song would be found in any Mukesh-fan's collection, and in better sound quality, too. But it was a thrill for me to discover an extra stanza in the film version: Chup na hogi hawa bhi Kuchh kahegi ghata bhi Aur mumkin hai tera Zikr kardey Khuda bhi. Phir tau patthar hi shaayad Zabt se kaam lengey Husn ki baat chali tau Sab tera naam lengey. Chaand aahen bharega... Come to think of it any one with good taste of music has to have this song be it a Mukesh fan or not !! The viedo I saw had the extra stanza but quality was bad. Thanks for u/l. Ramesh R a m e s h

Singing for KA !! Ramesh. Bachpan ka patriotic song - maza aa gaya! Even I didn't remember that it was Usha Khanna singing. In fact she co-sang other songs for KA too, some that I recall are: Holi Aayee Re title song (with MahendraK and LataM) Pal Bhar Ke Liye (Johny Mera Naam, with Kishore) Jalti Hai Duniya (Johar Mehmood in Hong Kong, with Mukesh) Cheers 50Some1 |
