This song is reminiscent of "Balma anaadi man bhaayey" from "BAHURANI" composed by C. Ramachandra and sung by Lata-ji.

In the movie, this song ends abruptly, followed by a period of silence. Since I've ripped the song from DVD, I've retained the track as in the movie and only faded it out at the end.

GM Durrani singing neend hamari khwaab tumhare.

One hears film-lore of how Rafisaab emulated him in the beginning and much later Durranisaab saying with pride that he was the rafi of those days.
We love our Rafi, Kishore, Asha and Lata but one does feel a sad twinge for these artists who were so good but faded away with time.

yes this is true that shamshad begum deserved lifetime achivement and many more awards but
she has not been given a single one. she remained out of touch to bollywood for many years and forgotten. she was misunderstood to sairaji's nani and she was founded in 2002 only.
yes she is living legend and deserve the awards

I forgot earlier this was 1982 to celebrate 50 years of talkies and this is only time when noorjahan made a performence in india after 1947.regarding shamshad begum ,i had read that she was present in the fuction but did not participated,it must be her personal choice also anything about suraiya ji ??
