I have it but I've marked it as sounding shrill (my file, not Lata ji lest Priye gets all gleeful!) so I guess in the end we all win smile1.gif

I must say this, haven't been to this thread in a about two weeks and it feels like coming home. Thank you U ji, very soon will again start rolling with the years.

This is a song I'm fond of, but was not included in my album of the film's songs. I was about to ask TG if she had it, then discovered I had it on DVD. But the sequence/song is only 1:51 minutes! sad.gif Was there a longer version issued as an audio-release?

Ankhiyon Ko Rehne Do was a shocker to me as well when I discovered it in the late 90s on the solo CD of Bobby. I immediately became obsessed with it.

I'm tempted to add this one to the "Rolling Back The Years" collection. Lata-ji doing a Geeta Dutt! Just listen to her sexy intonation of "samaa"!

According to one of her biographers, during concert tours Lata-ji strongly disapproved of any of her troupe members partaking of alcohol at parties. So, any drinking they did was in private, away from her purview! Her attitude perhaps stemmed from the suggestion that her father's health and career had been affected by weakness and excess.

Hence, this song comes as a surprise, and perhaps only CR in those days could persuade Lata-ji to sing such a number! Picturized on an intoxicated film-character portrayed by Vyjayantimala.

Another song that I'd consider adding to "Rolling Back The Years".

To me, this is the typical Lata-ji, her voice all sweetness and innocence, rendering a simple, yet melodious tune by C. Ramachandra, with minimum musical accompaniment.

Recorded from the VCD, and retaining the skips for the sake of continuity. sad.gif

Would sincerely appreciate if someone would upload a better version.
