The funny duet with Asha Bhosle, playbacked on Rajindre Nath.

"mere sakhiyon bolo" is the title I believe.
*

The album has 3 duets of Rafi-sahab with Lata-ji, and two solos by Lata-ji and Manna Dey --- the Rafi/Asha duet is not included. sad1.gif
*

Here is the Asha/Rafi duet from "Mela". I have not heard the third duet by
Lata/Rafi from this film.
*

Here are the two missings from Mela -
Kya Socha raha Re - Lata
Ek baar Rakh De - Lata-Rafi

Thanks for u/l the requested song. Seems that I wasn't the only one who didn't had this number. Full speed me download ho raha hai thumbs-up.gif

I must say I don't recall the solos by Lata and Manna Dey. The 3 Lata-Rafi duets I know. These are:
-Gori ke haath mein
-Ek baar rakhde
-Rut hai milan ki

Unni-ji,

Thanks for looking for me. I don't know whats up with the record companies. They always leave some songs behind. For instance, I bought Ek Phool Do Mali/Jab Jab Phool Khile-CD in India. angry2.gif

From both films a song is missing. They left away the funny medley, Chal chal re naujawan. And "Affoo Khuda".

I saw 2 "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" CD's, and one had 1 song less. Very strange.

Thanks again all for the song and the effort.

This song had been uploaded earlier, but it was at 16 kbps. Here is a DVD rip in 128 kbps:

Although just a fun "party song" in the 1952 movie, it would have required quite a lot of time and effort to compose, orchestrate, rehearse and record this 8:54 minute song. Does the Geet-Kosh list the other singers?

(mp3 - 128 kbps)

(mp3PRO - 96 kbps)

Unfortunately, my edition of the Geetkosh does not mention any of the
singer names (not even Shamshad and Rafi). I know there is a later
edition that somebody might have, which could provide more data.

Thanks Unni-ji for Mirza Sahiban tracks and these are rare ones.

Request for a Rafi saheb's solo from Amber-DVD- if you have -Chale jana tum door...mera dil mujhe wapas kardo. I have one in very bad quality.
Thanks in advance.

Mohd.-ji:

The DVD rip is better than the 16kbps I had downloaded earlier at HF, but still isn't CD quality:

I guess you would be one of the few people who will share with me the value of the following upload, a song I've been seeking for a long time. Ripped from DVD, and not in great sound quality, but a rare one:

According to the Ultraindia Filmography the film has 13 songs. But the DVD contained only 4 songs. The two you listed are among the missing ones. sad1.gif
