Thanks, Yatri. Much appreciated.

Here's Rafi-sahab with Manna Dey and chorus from "FAUJI" (1976) with music by Sonik-Omi:

Rafi ~  Raahi mil gaye ~ Dil de ke dekho.rar

Thanks Yatri2003 for this track
Totally out of this world
I got the album dil deke dekho, this song does not appear on there
however i do remember this song
It is on a video documentary that i had recorded about 15 years ago based on Shammi Kapoor
I remember Shammi Kapoor saying that he has so much respect and praise for Mohd Rafi in the documentary and only Rafi could understand how he wanted a song to be sung.

I guess this anecdote has been narrated before in HF:

Shammi Kapoor had wanted "Tareef karu mein uski" ("Kashmir Ki Kali") to be sung in a particular way. Had he been present at the recording, he would have conveyed it to Rafi-sahab. But the actor could not be present. Shammi Kapoor has gone on record that when he heard the rendition, he realized that even in his absence Rafi-sahab had anticipated how the actor would have wanted it sung based on the screen-persona of the Yaahoo-Kapoor, and sang it exactly as the actor would have wanted it, with all the 'mast' variations!

If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.
