The first two are duets by Rafi-sahab and Asha-ji from the movie "PICNIC", music by S. Mohinder:

The next one features Rafi-sahab in "ALIBABA & THE 40 THIEVES", music by S. N. Tripathi and Chitragupta:
from audio-tape

This last solo by Rafi-sahab is from "SACHCHAI", music by Shankar-Jaikishen. The tune is vaguely similar to SJ's composition for Mukesh in the title song of "Gunahon ka Devta":

I believe I've benefitted from HF far more than I've contributed. For example, this moving song which I heard for the first time, although an old song, thanks to an upload by one of our members. And ever since, I had been trying to obtain a clean recording, which I finally have, in the form of a CD.

About 20 years ago, Lata Mangeshkar gave a charity show at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. I had a copy of that performance, in which Raj Kapoor had introduced a song with a quotation from a different song. At the time I heard it first, I had no idea about the source of that quotation.

I am attaching a copy of Raj Kapoor's words as well as the CD rip of the song:

(spoken words)
(Mohd. Rafi & Asha Bhosle & chorus / Film: "BOOT POLISH" / Music: Dattaram)

If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

Two tracks from "KAISE KAHOON", with music by S. D. Burman:

(Mohd. Rafi & Asha Bhosle)

(Mohd. Rafi / Suman Kalyanpur / S. D. Batish)

A rare song, yet another melodious duet by Rafi-sahab and Lata-ji, in the film "PASSPORT" with music by Kalyanji-Anandji:

I've ripped these off the VCD of "NAYA KANOON". I doubt if they have featured before in the forum.

This first song is unique in a way. For "PYAASA" and some other movies, Rafi-sahab has recorded a few lines/verses without any musical accompaniment. But this here is an entire song with just the voice of Rafi-sahab and no musical accompaniment. (The tandem version by Asha-ji --- with orchestral backing --- will be posted in the Asha Bhosle forum).

(Mohd. Rafi)

This second song is relatively rare:
(Mohd. Rafi)

The third song is a duet by Rafi-sahab and Asha-ji:

Question for Rafians:

Has anyone come across a DVD or VCD of the movie "PALKI"?

'Yaar Mere' had mentioned a song by Rafi-sahab that accompanies the titles. Ever since, I've been trying to get hold of it. I did get the audio album, but it does not have that particular song.

I checked through a friend who works at Eros Entertainment but she could not find who has the rights to that movie. It is not listed among available movies at Eros, Ultra and Shemaroo.

Darn! You make me go on a wild-goose chase all over Bombay, and you overtape that hard-to-find film! abuse.gif

Just you wait, I'm gonna get it, hell or high water. Even if it means gate-crashing Naushad-sahab's Bandra home next time I'm there. tongue.gif

Akhtar:

The song had disturbances on the VCD, so I stopped copying it since it was already uploaded in the forum. I am attaching a copy of the download.

Many many years back my cousin used to be his neighbour... and you know how neighbourly neighbours are in India! My cousin unfortunately is no more, but I am sure we can get an invite Unni ji till Naushad ji is around, no need to gate crash! rolleyes.gif
