The length of this thread is a testimony to sincerity, enthusiasm and active participation of numerous Rafians who have contributed in great measure.

Music overcomes the barrier of language, and we admire the legend's voice and singing in every language he sang in.

Here is a Bengali song by Rafi-sahab:

If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

There was a Sant Gyaneshwar in 1964, is this another one? If so is Bharat Vyas the lyricist???

Mrs T:

This what mohd.rafi.com says:

Sant Gyaneshwar
Release Year 1982
Track(s) Singer(s) Lyricist Musician

Jeena Marna...Pal Pal Beet Raha Hai Jeevan Mohd Rafi
Bharat Vyas Shrikant

Phoolon Jaise Phulo Phalo Mohd Rafi
Bharat Vyas Shrikant

The Sant Gyaneshwar u refrerring to is the from 1964, wich has the mukesh song: Prem ki ganga bahtae chalo and the lata song Ek do teen chaar.

If you will listen 2 the song phoolon jaise phool phalon, u will hear that it's a clear en clean record ( u can hear rafi saab wonderfull awaaz clean! ), so it never can be a record of the 60 's wink2.gif.

Cinemaniac mentioned that the movie "DETECTIVE" also has a Rafi/Geeta version of the familiar Hemant/Geeta duet "Mujhko Tum Jo Miley".

EarthMusic also lists the two versions of the song.

It is not included in the album copy I have, and we need to find this song.
