one such song is Des churaaye bhes churaaye kya kya kare naa preet raama... from chacha Zindabaad 1959... te different type of voices used my KK is just just just awesome smile1.gif we get all the flavours there romantic, bhajn, rhymes, sad!!! i just love this song... a treat to all KK lovers and a superb rendition by Kishore da!!! bow.gif

BTW this song is too good.....typical mujra song - minimum instruments...just dholak and ghungroos !! superb music by chic choclate !!!!! totally different from what he was expert in !!!

AK also tried at his best in Dui Kishore ( though singing this song after A Bhi Hakka and other songs in a stage show is too much tiring ) !!!

One song of the 50's the reminds me of KishoreDa's genius is from Miss Mary (1957)
Song: Gaana Na Aaya.

The song has crazy lyrics (and who else other than KishoreDa can do justice to crazy lyrics).. One of the antaras had no music and a little bit of classical touch. The song varies in the range of sur (ups and downs) and picks up towards the end..Kishore Da also sings in a female voice in the nursery ehyme part of "3 blind mice"...What an all-round effort clap2.gif clap2.gif clap2.gif

After 'Michael hai to cycle hai' from Bewaqoof (1960), here's one more duet from the same film - but this time, Kishore and Manna.

Aankhon se aankhon ka tu jaam liye jaa

Kishore sings for himself and Manna Dey sings for Pran. Pran is on a luxury ship with a bevy of girls around him, and a little drunk, while Kishore is on the road somewhere with a bunch of poor kids, singing with gay abandon. The song attempts to bring out the diametrically opposite personalities of the two. One is portrayed as a 'taker' and the other as a 'giver'. Thus,
Pran sings : 'Aankhon se aankhon ka tu jaam liye jaa, jalvon ke saaye mein aaraam liye jaa'
Kishore sings 'Har dil ko chaahat ka tu jaam diye jaa, leta jaa duvayen aaraam diye jaa'

Another tidbit : Notice the films where Kishore Kumar acts. In the list of credits of (playback) singers his name will not be there. That is because he sings for himself and this is not counted as 'playback' .
