Sharma Ji Maharaj, I do not know why but the audio is damn bad
of GKGori song. It would not be difficult to decode the missing word
otherwise.

Ambar ka gaanaa khoob hai. Well tuned and well sung. It was very
popular in radio days.

Nishi......the heroine.
Shamshad begum.....the singer
and

two boys who did exactly the same job

Hansraj Behl......the music director
Varma Malik .....the lyricist

and when all these four worked together for

the movie...BHANGRA(1959)

the result was......

one of the top hits of punjabi music.

A fascinating song to watch, with a sip of Chivas Regal of course.

What imagination in lyrics, "Sheeshe Ki Palki Mein Teri Lal Pari Aayi", Subhanallah.

By the way, the singer is Rajkumari. All female songs in the movie are sung by her.

Mahesh Bhai, agar kasht na ho toh, Panna ke songs audio mein upload keejiye, ya mujhe PM keejiye.

sound track her voice was used in all the female songs while rajkumari's versions were issued on records.

Yes you are right. It is indeed Shamshad. I was perplexed by a different sounding Rajkumari. But went by the details available with me.

My request for Audio versions stands. Rajkumari Ho Ya Shamshad Ho. Ek Sona Hai Toh Doosri Suhaga.

Thanks Mahesh Bhai for the unpublished version of "kali ghata chayee". Very true, its Shamshad and earlier I had heard only the Rajkumar (record version) and never this one.
