Song #40:

AshaB - Yuvati Mana (drama: Manapaman) - film: Natya Parag - marathi classical song

year ??? , music ??? , lyrics ???

Song is 3:30 min long, and has average VBR of 160 Kbps.

Me love Asha's classical numbers, and almost any classical song actually. She sang this beautifully! A must hear. Not sure if this was uploaded before (I don't know why I keep saying this everytime!).

Do provide me with more info and the sources used (question marks above + other info). Why does the song title say "drama: Manapaman" ??? Is the film made of several dramas ???

Manapaman is a famous historical Marathi play by K P Khadilkar, a close associate of Lokmanya Tilak.

Natya Parag -must be the tagged name of Album, not a film.

Eventhough I dont understand Marathi, but still on hearing this classical/semi-classical number felt that it has been superbly rendered by Asha-ji. Hats off to her for effortlessly rendering such a difficult compostion.
Many many thanks for this excellent upload in good quality.

Thanks Anil-ji for that info.
Now, what I still wanted to know is what year did Asha record this? And is K P Khadilkar also the music director of this piece?

Regards,
Sani.

Since I have the song--both old and new concert version, did not dl Ur file. But Urs is almost 4 mb while my hcd version is 3.27 mins only. So my q: is Urs the young Asha version or later recording?
The hcd one I have says 1954. She performed the Sony TV concert one in the 90s. Must have also sung it in many Marathi concerts.
