"Ek baar phir kaho zara" and "Aya hai bulawa mujhay Darbar-e-Nabi se" are both private songs.

Some magazines list "Aya hai bulawa mujhay Darbar-e-Nabi se" as Shamshad FIRST ever song. Not sure about that.

"Ek baar phir kaho zara" is in 2 parts. Nahid Niazi (famous Pakistani playback singer) singer mentioned it on PTV that the song was composed by her father S.S. Niazi and sung by Shamshad Begum. According to Shamshad Begum, it was one of her earliest hits. I have Nahid Niazi's version, but I am still looking for Shamshad's version. Anyone have it?

Ummer.

ik baar was written and composed by Mr Niazi. He also wrote
a rejoider 'ik baar phir suno zaraa' which was rendered by her
daughter Nahid Niazi, decades later on PTV. Mr Niazi was
associated with AIR and later with Radio Pakistan.

PaiGaam sabaa laaii hai ........ aayaa hai bulaawaa, was written
by Wali Sahib and composed by Master Ghulam Haider. IIRC,
its flip side was 'yasrab ko jaanewale meraa payaam le jaa'.

A book on Shamshad's works is being compiled in India. It
should be out in about two months time. It will have good
details about her non film activities during 1932-1937.

thanks maheshks ji,ummerji and urzung ji

i came across the post of member on ndtv in which the user camille mentioned that the music director of these songs was her father.she resides in Islamabad.therefore i wanted to know the md of this songs

here is the link

http://ndtv.com/mb/readreply.asp?topicid=7...Music&id=562827

in it she writes ( a part of the post )
here she talks about the remixes

"h yes! I absolutely am of the opinion that remixes are nowhere near the originals. As a matter of fact, something has gone terribly wrong with the aesthetic taste of listeners nowadays.Except for an odd singer here and there, there's no comparison between the new and the old. Each one of the old time singers had a distinctive touch and voice which you couldn't fail to identify."

"Shamshad Begum's remixes are very much in vogue(thank goodness somebody has acknowledged her marvellous talent at last).I proudly declare that my father, who was one of the pioneers of All India Radio, had several songs sung by this lady, who to this day never fails to remember him whenever she gets a chance to appear or broadcast on any show.My father's well-known songs were to name a couple ...Ek baar phir kaho zara and the famous naat...Aya hai bulawa mujhay Darbar-e-Nabi se.Please,people...dont ruin your taste. We know that nowadays 'Sab chalta hai'is a popular slogan but 'Kyon chalta hai?'There should be no compromise in standards where music is concerned."

may be she was Ghulam haider's daughter or Mr Niazi's one,the member name was camillee..It is very good that if we have access to Ghualm Haider's daughter ,good news for interviewrs and us too. i repled on ndtv but did not get any answer

thanks a lot
