As per my knowledge the vinyl records for this song were never issued by the
famous music companies. The song was issued on cancelled record by some private company and I saw that in the initial ninties. Therefore, only option left is to rip it from original sound track of the movie. This song was uploaded by me from an old casette which was recorded from those cancelled records. Will try to
upload the better version from that casette..you know Unniji this was uploaded
during my initial days on HFs and I was novice at that time in the field of ripping. sunglasses2.gif

thanks for yr version from vinyl rip

must make an all out effort to get the soundtrack of 'kahin din kahin raat' - i found that it was produced in 1968 by Shri Krishna Films - director was Darshan. The next movie under that banner was "Ek rishta - the bond of love" starring Amitabh,AkshayKr,Kareena etc. which was directed by Sunil Darshan (maybe son of Darshan?). Sunil Darshan also directed Talash (2002) subsequently starring Akshay Kr, Kareena

reason i'm mentioning all this is that the director/his family may have access to the original soundtrack/ song track etc.... and if anyone has any links to this person may be able to get some leads on how to get the soundtrack of 'kahin din kahin raat'.

Sri Bhai, three of the songs from this movie are available on 78 rpms records
and regarding rest no one is sure about their release on records. The three available songs are :

1. Tumhara chaahnewala khuda ki duniya main
2. Tumhare ye nakhre tumhari adaayen
3. Yarron ki tamanna hai teri zulfon main phans jaayen

I uploaded these songs on Hfs at one time or the other.

thanks a lot - got song no 2 from the link. song no 1 was u/led by Akhtar sometime ago, i think - i got that one too.

do you have song no 3 ?

i know these songs so well - every twist and turn - every orchestra note - despite not having heard them for years. Pity that HMV, under the old mgmt, has really managed to bungle everything and lose a large part of our national treasure ! unpardonable really.

What utterly beautiful poetry. Very few songs can express sublime and pure love (Pranay) as this particular song of Kavi Bharat Vyas. You are instantly transported to the world of Dushyant and Shakuntala. Such a shame that whenever vintage music is discussed, its only singers and music directors who get acknowledged.
