Quite right Hits.. Hridaynath has used few of his Marathi tunes while composing Hindi numbers. Another such song that comes to my mind is "Kaajal raatine odhoon nela". This is the original song on which "Khud se baatein karte rehna" (Maya Memsaab) is based. To me, the marathi version sung by Asha Bhosle is much better than the Hindi one. I have the mp3, so let me know if you'd like me to upload it !!!!

Priya you'll love this song. Kajal raatina odhoon nela is a masterpiece.

It is from Chandra aahe saakshila ( from where you got - paan jaage phool jaage)

Self - belief is the most potent force.

Hi Priya,
Why am I not surprised that you were the one to pounce on an Asha Bhosle number ?
I guess it would help you relate to the music better, if I gave an idea of the song's situation. This is from the movie "Ha khel saavlyaancha" (literally meaning - "This game of the Shadows").
It is a murder mystery. The story revolves around a large mansion amid a huge estate of dark woods. The song is picturised on a woman, whose husband gets killed under mysterious circumstances. She (and all the villagers) are quite convinced that it was due to some supernatural powers at work. She eventually goes mad and is often seen roaming around the estate, singing this song.
Here it is.............
