Dear Swarapriya thanks for this album.....
There is an interesting fact about this movie. Though there are 4 songs of KK in this movie but he was not credited for these songs... If you see the title page of playback singers section at the beginning of the movie, you won't find KK's name but all others. Even the female singer Radhakishen that u have mentioned is not there in the playback singers' list. Wonder why the music director overlooked/ignored KK? This would have been rectified by producer or director or actors later stage....but none noticed this error. Soumik (Hasrat Jaipuri) Krorepati (1961) This movie that was supposed to be a comedy but it is really not that funny. It had screenplay by I.S. Johar. Johar also co-wrote its dialogues. The effort by Shankar & Jaikishan, who were flying high during these years, was below mark except for a couple of songs. Interestingly S&J decide to use Manna for playback of Kishoreda in a couple of songs. The song “Pehle Murghi” is one of them. Manna did a fair job with the song, but this one is a typical Kishoreda’s song. If he sang the song it would have been a blast. Mannada also lends his voice for Kishoreda in the duet “Aap Huye”. The song of the album is Asha’s “Saawan Bann Gaye”. A beautifully rendered lovely song. The song is supposed to have the following mukhda that was missing in the DVD as well as the CD. The mukhda goes like this… “Aye Aasmaan Ke Raahi Tu Hi Gawaah Rehna, If anyone of you have this song with the above beginning, please kindly share it with rest of us. Thank you. The other song is Lata’s solo, “O Saajna”. This seems to be inspired by some western tune. Nevertheless it is pleasant to listen to. Here are these and other songs from this film… |

Dear Swarapriya,
I am uploading the song "Jalti Hain Duniya (part - 2)" from Pyar (1950) which is having better sound quality than yours. I hope you will like it. Regards Soumik (Rajinder Krishan) Pyaar (1950) I am re-uploading these songs of early Nargis & Raj Kapoor film on request... For this Raj Kapoor’s film not only Burmanda composed music but had Kishoreda sing songs for Raj. Remember this was back in 1950. Raj did not yet settle on Mukesh as his voice. That was still a few years away. My apologies for the poor quality of the songs even though some of them are decent enough. Here are the songs… Attached File(s) ![]() |

(Majrooh) Laagi Naahin Chhute Ram (1963)
This Bhojpuri film, even though I do not know the language itself, it is not hard to understand, has several good songs in it. Apart from all three duets, my favorites are the two songs by Suman Kalyanpur. Here are these and the rest of the songs from this film in two back-to-back posts… Attached image(s) ![]() Attached File(s) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

(Anand Bakshi) Bachpan (1970)
This film was produced and directed by K.P. Atma who also wrote its story. He directed many movies in Telugu. His two earlier successes in Hindi include “Chhota Bhai (1966)” and “Raja aur Runk (1968)”. But this movie is a major let down. It has a weak and unconvincing story and does not leave any surprises as one can easily guess what happens next. Only its music was slightly above average. Rafi Saab’s song “Aaya Re” appears five times in the film. The first one and the fifth one are identical. Therefore I am not uploading the fifth one. The first one is also part of the fourth one. I am uploading these four parts and others in two back-to-back posts. Here are the songs in the first post… Attached image(s) ![]() Attached File(s) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

(Hasrat Jaipuri) Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja (1961)
This movie unfolds as a number of people travel on a ship on a pilgrimage. A cross-section of the people represent every walk in the life, good and bad, honest and thieves, helpful and greedy, spinsters and widows, and others. An interesting premise but the director did not take full advantage of the material at hand. Shankar & Jaikishan’s several good songs go waste on the film. S&J were assisted by Dattaram and Sebastian, their usual assistant music directors. Subir Sen is one of the playback singers but was not credited. Interestingly, the song “Suno Bhaai” has two different versions. The one in the movie (DVD) is different than the one in CD. The DVD song has “Paa Li Hai” whereas the CD song “Pee Li Hai”. Otherwise both songs are identical. I am uploading both of them here. The quality of the CD song is far superior to the one of the DVD’s even though I am uploading both of them at 192 kbps. I am uploading these and the rest of the songs and a couple of music clips in two back-to-back posts. (Majrooh) Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon (1963) - Songs
Here is one of the best scores by OP. All nine songs from this film were chart busters. It is easy to see why. They all are absolutely mellifluous. They charm you with reverberations generated by the choice use of rhythmic echoes. Even though the movie was a retread of Nasir Hussain Saab’s earlier movies, the music lifts the film from the run of the mill film to a likeable one. Asha (Bhosle) and Rafi Saab were at the top of the game and contribute mightily to the success of the film. I have a couple of favorites in this film. These are Rafi Saab’s “Aanchal Mein” and the duet “Zulf Ki”. They both are very rich in lyrics and stir your emotions and affect deeply. Interestingly, for some reason the song “Zulf Ki” was deleted from the final film. But a shorter version of the song is available on many CDs. The full version is available in some videos. This song I am uploading in its entirety with all of the dialogues interspersed. I am uploading a version with the dialogues and applauses stripped. I enjoy this latter version as the dialogues serve no purpose in the song. I am uploading these and the rest of the songs, few specials, and some instrumentals in four back-to-back posts. The first two posts contain songs from the film. The third post contains specials. Finally, the fourth post contains a few instrumentals of the songs from the film. Here is the first set of songs… Attached image(s) ![]() Attached File(s) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
