For the first time on HF Radio, a special program on TAMIL SONGS,
"My Selection of Tamil Songs" - largely from the 60s

The radio program will feature a selection of Tamil songs - from the late 50s and 60s. These are mostly songs which I had heard as a youngster - mostly when we would visit the South every summer, for our holidays. After several rounds of listening - I have selected those which still sounded good to my ears ! smile.gif
I have also added a few which have connections with Hindi songs - for the non-Tamilian listeners ( if there will be any !!).

The timing is in the morning for India and in the night for the US

Sorry !! That's not acceptable....please change the chat format back to Java-based chat. It;s more important to have the important participants present on the chat ...than to have the Flash chat because it looks better !! So, pl do the needful, Ms Admin...and be present on the chat. Remember, you have been appointed the 'official' translator too - for the sake of other participants - who are non-tamil speaking !!

Many thanks to all the listeners who tuned in today and those who also joined the chat session where these songs were discussed. Hope you all enjoyed the music.

Will announce the date / timings for the repeat broadcast of the Tamil Songs Program on HF Radio. Will also be adding one or two songs more.....



I will shortly be uploading the opening music of the program....as a quiz ...for people to guess where this came from etc. etc. Those who have already heard it ...and thos e who are keen to hear the repeat broadcast...please do check it out...the answer will be provided during the repeat broadcast...
