Many sincere thanks for these three great uploads. In fact, these three were at the top of my wish list!

But, I have a special love for the "Dost Jab Zee Wafar Hota Hai" number.

I have noticed this Radhika Chopra on Lok Sabha TV channel, wherein she had given a concert.

She was a delight not only to 'hear', but also to 'watch', what with her nice, confident gait, smiles and adaayen, that add so much value to Ghazal singing!

In addition to the three songs that you uploaded, she sang in that concert some of K.L.Saigal songs such as "Ae Katibe Taqdir Mujhe Itna Bataa De" and Farida Kanum numbers such as "Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo", too.

I admire the strength of her voice and her years of classical training keep showing up all through! In fact, I am told she is Dr. Radhika Chopra, a Ph.D. in Music!

Venkatji, glad to be of help!
To tell you the truth, I got this CD (Hum-Umr Khayal) just for one song - Aaj Phir Chaand Usne Maanga Hai sung by Sudeep Banerjee which I heard at Planet M, New Delhi only a few years back. It was sheer luck that almost all of the ghazals/nazms in the CD turned out 2 b gr8 including those of Radhika Chopra. I even like Indira Varma's recitations too. Shoma Banerjee is equally good!

I found a web site on Radhika Chopra (http://radhikachopra.com/home.html), where I heard Ae Kaatib-e-Taqdeer and Aaj Jaane Ki Zidd Na Karo. Simply awesum! Unfortunately they are only clips, not full songs. I hope someone uploads the full versions.

I have not visited Hamara Forum for a long time. I should as it is not the music everyone is happy to share but the knowledge. and I have found that the knowledge as endless source of information.

This is the song you wanted to hear from Radikaji, Ay Katibe Taqdeer.

I was lucky enough to attend one of Radhikaji's concert in London and lucky enough to get a seat in the front row. Once she opens her mouth she controls you, your emotions and feelings. I could spend my life listening to her live every couple of months and never get tired.

I came across Sangitaji while googling one day and as far as renditions of Saigal's songs go I do not think anyone can surpass her.
I honestly feel when I listen to her that this is how Saigal must have sounded ( obviously a male voice) if we were not forced to listen to old 78s with crackles in them.
