In 80,s there used to be a song coming on DOORDARSHAN which goes like this__chaah nahiin ke surbaala ke gehnon mein goothha jaaoon_,it is from a poem PUSHP KI ABHILASHA,Can someone shed light on it?Was this poem sung by HEMANT KUMAR?Does anyone has this song?

Aaj yahan bhatakta chala aayaa, Gutakhi Maaf .

No No Hitsji, this poem is by Shri Sohan Lal Dwedi. When I was in 4th standard this was in our syllabus.
(By singing this poem this poem has fetch me 'shabbash' from my class teacher(Guruji) ).

I don't have the song but would love to pen down the poem :-

Chah Nahin Mein Sur Baalaa Ke,
Gehnon Mein Goontha Jaoon
Chah Nahin Mein Dev Pratima Par,
Chadoon , Bhaagya Per Itraoon.

Mujhe Tod Lena Vanmali,
Us Path Per Dena Tum Feink,
Matr Bhumi Par Sheesh Chadaane,
Jis Path Jayen Veer Anek.

[after many decades, I recalled it so not sure whether any more stanzaa exist]

You are correct dear hitsji, I checked it at the mentioned site.
But why Sohanlalji has captured my mind ?
[During my primary school time, my most respected Guruji was shri 'Sohanlal Khanna' & he had tought me the subject at that period.]

Perhaps I need some psycic's help.
