Up close with Shaan!
`KYA AAP Close-up karte hain?' Here is an opportunity to get to work in the latest video of the famous playback singer Shaan and get close up with the singer. India's two leading brands, Barista and Close up have come up with the contest named `Kya aap Close up karte hain?' which is aimed to generate enthusiasm among youth. Famous pop and playback singer Shaan was recently in New Delhi to encourage participation. "I am glad to interact with my fans here and would like to have a feedback on my new album `Aksar'," said Shaan at the coffee shop. Besides the opportunity to work in the video, four other lucky winners will also be chosen. They will get a laptop each. A minimum bill of Rs.110 at any Barista outlet entitles you not only for a lucky draw but also gets you a free cassette of Shaan's greatest hits titled `Shaan Se'. "We at Barista continuously cultivate interests such as music, books and art that in a sense compliment the coffee, and this promotion of ours with Shaan corroborates our views," said Brotin Banerjee, Head Marketing & Strategy, Barista Coffee Company. "Besides providing incentives, this promotion will result in excitement amongst our customers," he added. This promotion will run across all Barista Bars covering 12 major cities till March 9. source: http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/mp/2004/02/2...22600410400.htm |

Couple of years back when I visited India and happen to stop by at one of the Barista in Yaari Road.... I knew this place is gonna rock.... only if it was less crowded.... Man this Brotin Banerjee, Head Marketing & Strategy, Barista Coffee Company knows what people of tomorrow wants....... Not less than a decade back we use to hang around at Iraani joints ..... and now Barista is all where college students , IT guys , Multi-national Professionals , hangout..... ...
My 2 cents.... the coffee is not bad but still needs some improvements.....compare to STARBUCKS The way is not in the sky, the way is in the heart. --Gautama Buddha

Well I still don't like their brewed coffees...and being used to Udipi Bhuvan's filter kaafee....I had same problem initially here in usa.... it takes time to develop the taste... never liked pizza for few months after coming to usa.... now I can't resist Pizzas.... Pastas... hmmm mooh mein paani aa gaya... Well by avoiding you often miss the oppurtunity to try , taste different things... my regular budget does not allow me for anything above Dunkin Donut coffee.... but when I am feeling blue.... all I have to do.... walk towards a starbucks... and get extra shot grande cafe latte And on hot summer days... a cold frappuchino... yummy The way is not in the sky, the way is in the heart. --Gautama Buddha
