Hello. I have just returned from vacation in Italy. I spent only one week there, but I experienced alot in those days. I ate pizza almost every day, and I also ate pasta, lasagne, cheez etc etc. tasted some good local vine and olive oil. I thaught I would see/meet many Indian bachelor girls, but I didnt. Only 2 that seemed to be bachelors. one in Pisa and one in Florence sad1.gif. I took almost 1000 pictures, many of churches and cathedrals, and some of them are shared here. hope you like them smile1.gif

I'll start with two pictures from Chianti. The place is famous for the wine and olive oil. and the 2 things you cant avoid to see here is the olive trees and grape farms

Siena is a very nice city. the town is within the old citywalls. Even the football stadium is in the town, and you can see parts of the ground for free, as the stadium is situated at a lower level than rest of the area towards the city.

Assisi is the 4th most important italian city for catholics (atleast I was told so). A very old city with an old fort at a top of the mountain.

Those were gorgeous pictures Deep, thanks for sharing them. What was that fellow doing in front of the tower, trying to hold up a straight line for perspective? God those were some beautiful pieces of art. What no pictures of the food? tongue1.gif I guess I better go cook since just you describing the food has made my mouth water.

Lol, good memory, lekin no, just dal (getting over cold sniff sniff) today, yummy, spicy dal, but just dal nonetheless. Tinde season is over now, dear, even in California. But deep's post made my mouth water for authentic Italian food, red sauce, cheeses, hmmm lasagna, I need to make that again soon..... I made the dal's turka with olive oil, does that count? Lol.

actually, I dont think I took any pictures of the food sad.gif

the fellow in front of the tower (whom I dont know) is taking a typical tourist picture. it will appear that he/she is pushing the tower, so it wont fall - just like people taking pictures in front of Taj Mahal, appearing to holding the Taj wink.gif

Sure. I'll upload some more later today...do you want more pictures of the same places, or from some other small places we just passed by?

WOW! this is my favourite place in the whole world. I have always wanted to go to Italy for my honeymoon:wub: I love everything about Italy; the red wine, the Itallian food, the cappaccino, espresso, all the different types of coffees they have and the site seeing of the whole country. I used to live there when I was only a year old but I don't remember anything. All i need now is Mr. Right to enter my life to take me there biggrin.gif
