QUOTE(sani_thakur @ Jul 31 2005, 04:08 AM) Song #11 (requested by Priya) Asha - SHAHENSHAH (1953 - thanks Mahesh -) - Aai Baharen Leke music: Sachin Dev Burman, lyrics: Sahir Ludhiyanvi Priya...the song is not complete - I think it is missing some parts in the begining. The ending of the song has begining of some other song too, not sure which one. Which means...if someone here has a better and complete version, please do upload. Above song is 3:18 min long, and only at 126 Kbps. Earthmusic.Net says this song was sung by Lata - I do not think so. The voice is very Asha. It does not say the release year of the film either. Which reminds me...where did this Priya go anyways ??? Kahan gayi aap, Priya-jiiiiii??? Maybe she exhausted all her bandwidth (thanks to my rather high quality uploads )...but I thought U had a nice internet cafe nearby?!?! Enjoy the song nonetheless, Sani. Thanks Sani and Mohdsaab!!!!! Sani, I have got a temporary job hence the leave from hf for a while. Tumhare jaise bahut saare batchon ko sata rahi hoon. |

Song #12: (as requested by some bachcha's friend)
Asha - Ae Tum Kahan Chale Pyare I am not sure of the movie-name - is it Pyara Dushman (as per HCD) or Pyar Ka Rog (as per Earthmusic.net) ??? I uploaded another song from the same album before (i think) - Saiyan Aaye Na - is also from the movie Pyar Ka Rog (music: Bappi Lahiri), I think, and it says it is a duet (Asha and Kishore) - so in that case what U uploaded before (1:11 min) must be severely incomplete! Anyone here has the entire number ??? - please do upload if U do. Sani. P.S: Pyare Priya - appke list mein bahut mistakes hain - fix them - Music Has No Language -

QUOTE(priya @ Jul 21 2005, 01:25 AM) Such a short snippet!!! But seems like that is all. On hearing the song realised this is obviously not a Nisar Bazmi composition as he left India in the 50s I think. This song is from a 1980 film Pyara Dushman (the Bazmi one was 1955). MD is Bappi Lahiri and lyrics are by Anjaan. U know Priya - I think the movie is Pyar Ka Rog for that song (Saiyan Aaye Na). Needs to be confirmed. - Music Has No Language -

Fineee...looks like i shall finally have to ask - What is this VN booook ??? What is itttttttt ? Tellllll meeeeeeee. (i have been wondering about it for tooo long) And also tell me why this VN book might not OR cannot be wrong ??? Well....maybe someone has to watch both movies - Pyara Dushman (1980) and the other movie "Pyar Ka Rog" - and solve the case. Sani. P.S: That's true - that list is not Ur list - didn't think about it - but somoene has to be blamed - i only know u (and nimii) - hence it is allllllll ur fault, and nimii's too (see how skilfully i am dragging u two into another argument) - Music Has No Language -

(i have been wondering about it for tooo long) Yeh batche bhi na, itne ignorant hote hain. VN matlab Vishwas Nerurkar. He writes books. Books of lists. Lists of songs. Songs of singers and mds. Done one on Lata too fyi. The latest ones were on KK and RDB. The Asha one is on Hindi film songs till 1994. QUOTE And also tell me why this VN book might not OR cannot be wrong ??? Na there are some mistakes but msotly when the songs are of the 50s and rare, issued only on the lp or available only in the film track. Less errors than the Geetkosh (no offence to Hamraazji--that is some mammoth task and we are all mighty grateful) which at times mixes up Asha and Lata's voices. QUOTE P.S: That's true - that list is not Ur list - didn't think about it - but somoene has to be blamed - i only know u (and nimii) - hence it is allllllll ur fault, and nimii's too (see how skilfully i am dragging u two into another argument) Ya we will both argue with U and finish U off. How will U stand up to 2 Virgo viragos??? Abbe if we had the resources the 'listwaale' have would we be stuck on forums saving links and noting songs. |

Sani where are U??? This song tum bahar kahan chae pyaare--the music after the mukhda--it is so familiar. I am sure it is from an English tune later used in a Hindi tune too. Can U place it? Did it ring a bell. Killing me--it is so familiar and I cannot get it. |

QUOTE(priya @ Aug 8 2005, 12:17 PM) But I still think that song "Saiyan Aaye Na" (from Pyaara Dushman) is incomplete - it is too short a song - it could be a Asha-Kishore duet. If anyone has the complete song - please do upload it. Song #13 (requested by some unknown lady) AshaB - Aaj Koi Aayega - Chanda Aur Bijli (1969) music: Shankar-Jaikishan, lyrics: Indeevar At 4:03min, the file is a mere 132 Kbps. Here is an interesting website, related to the above (look at the music awards): http://tamanbollywood.singcat.com/awards/f...faeng1969.shtml - Music Has No Language -
