Meri Pasand (1983)
We started this thread with Ghulam Ali Saab's "Aap Ki Pasand" album. Now it is Ali Saab's turn. Here I will upload ghazals that are of Ghulam Ali Saab's liking, "Meri Pasand". Ghulam Ali Saab released series of albums like this one, "Meri Pasand", and others like "An Evening with Ghulam Ali" or "Ghulam Ali in Concert" in different years with same titles. These albums sometimes had some of the same ghazals in it, but of different durations. For example, this album "Man Pasand" was released in 1983. There were two other volumes of the albums of the same name released in 1993 with some common ghazals of different durations. Similarly other albums I mentoned above. This album has six beautiful ghazals. I am uploading them in two back-to-back posts. The ghazal "Heer" is in Punjabi. I don't understand the language, but the way Ghulam Ali Saab sings, it sounds very poignant and grabs your heart. Here is the first set of ghazals from this beautiful album ... TV Hits (1982)
Ghulam Ali Saab released two albums entitled "TV Hits" in 1982 and 1984. These albums consist of several ghazals, mostly of "briefer" duration that his regualr ones. This one I am uploading here is from 1982. It has 12 ghazals. I will upload them in two back-to-back posts. A word of caution. The quality of these albums is quite good, but not as crisp as it could have been. With that here are the first six ghazals ...
