A couple of days before i came across a Vinyl rip that was spell binding. The quality is to be heard to be believed. Ofcourse, i always used to hear the hissing sound in the back drop for vinyl rips, but this had none. And to be honest, my tiny computer speakers were inadequate to savour the music...such was the quality. Ofcourse, quality does come from size of file, most often. Still if someone wants to convert the Vinyl rips into digital music, nothing comes near to this, in my opinion.
The files are stored in FLAC format. i.e., Free Lossless Audio Codec. VLCC player and the Winamp player are equipped with the needed codecs to play these files.
I am uploading a Vinyl rip of Beethoven's romance album. It has two songs on side 1 and 2. Presently uploading the 1st part. You can download the 2nd part from the following link. Would appreciate it greatly, if you can leave your feedbacks here..

CD and mp3 were designed in mind of the limitation of human ears.
Unless you have super hearing, it cannot get better then 128 kbps
unless you are going from digital to surround sound.

Vinyl may be analog but it has limit as well.
So the reason you find this astonishing is that
this individual ripped it immediately after buying the vinyl
instead of spending 40 years listening to the record
with a broken needle and only then ripping it.

There are several blogs run by non indians who
give out indian vinyl which has top most quality.
There is very little hissing in them as well.
Also they do use noise removal software as well.

After all audiophiles believe that top of the line receivers
are made of glass tube vacuum amplifiers and that is not digital.

R&D, it was nice hearing from you. Actually the records ripped were old and this is what he says about ripping equipment et al.

Recording Technique

All rips are digitized at 24-96

Vinyl cleaned with wood glue

Equipment used:

Denon DL 160 MC Cartridge

Still this won't fix actual scratches of the vinyl. so the record
has to be in perfect condition more or less.

R&D ...i too dont have any vinyls. But i came across a wonderful collector of Vinyls.
If everything goes as planned, we may get an opportunity to convert that fantastic collection.

a year ago I saw a documentary on NHK World
about this Turntable used by rappers. It is considered the gold standard.

Oh that sound card is $200.

while something like Griffin iMic is $25.
the website does say that you need third
party drivers in order to get 24bit 96KHz sampling.
