Wow....Unni.....really great of you to get that for me.....A big hit in its time....

Do you have any idea which film does the other song "Aaraaro Haii" belong to? I'm having my doubts that it is from some other film.....It was a very famous song of the yesteryears......I dont remember the exact words....."Aaraaro Haii" was repeated after every stanza......the main lines started with "Neram ...smthg smthg........Maana ketuvadaaro.....smthg..." Honestly I have no clue of the words.....I'm sorry.........I'd heard it in my childhood....so loong back.....But remember the tune very well......and the broken 'words'...Hehehehe

I suppose u'd have already listened to His Highness Abdullah, Bharatam, Chitram, etc.
Old Gaanam (I think Nedumudi Venu and Lakshmi) has some pretty good songs... thats one of the earliest Malayam movies I remember watching...
Most of Mohanlal - Priyadarshan movies have decent songs ...apart from having some hilarious comedy

anyways, Hits and unni-ji ... agar PM kar rahe hain...to humein bhi list mein shaamil kar dijiyega

Arriving here late. Lata, watch these Mohan Lal movies apart from the ones Vivek suggested (which are very good too) - Taalavattom (It is Priyadarshan's take on "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Mohan Lal excels in Jack Nicholson's character), Manichitrataazhu. For Jayaram, watch "Thoovalsparsham"

--- Poochakya Oru Mookuthi
--- Kilukkam .... so brilliant that I tolerated Jay Mehta in its Hindi version ! A very endearing Thilakan and Amrish Puri respectively
--- Kireedam ... again brilliant roles by Thilakan and Amrish Puri (Gardish)
--- Gajakesariyogam ... brillaint performance from good ol' Innocent (and the elephant ofc )

Probably wud have seen these many times ... but aaj bhi agar TV pe daale to dekhoonga oh... I miss Asianet
