QUOTE(Mandrake @ May 28 2005, 08:54 AM) Hi everybody! It seems this thread was languishing inspite of some prominent HF people being in Karnataka (what a shame ) So let me kick-start this with this beautiful number by SP Balasubramanyam. I would appreciate if members further this thread by u/l ing songs with a single criterion: The song should be melodious - very very pleasing to listen to. The mood doesn't matter. Neer_bittu_nelada_mele.zip ( 3.79mb ) Let's see how this goes... Like I have mentioned before Mandrake, my mule is a seriously challenged animal when it comes to non-Hindi songs. So, let me step in, instead. Here're the listings I could dig up - Neera Bittu - S.P.Bala - Hombilisu - 1978 - Rajan Nagendra (Music) - Geetapriya (Lyrics) |

QUOTE(Mandrake @ May 28 2005, 11:49 AM) And here's another superbly melodious one: Aakaashadinda daragilada rambhe... from Chandanada Gombe You don't even have to understand the language. Just listen and enjoy Aakaashadinda Dharegili - S.P.Bala - Chandanada Gombe - 1979 - Rajan Nagendra (Music) - Udayashankar (Lyrics) |

Me late entry at another thread .... me last to reach this Southie language.... and least understood by me ....
but then taking inspiration from Mandrake (ie a non-Kannadiga) lemme try and bring the thread back to life. Me have no kannada songs.. nor know what to request. So requesting all new HF-ers (new as in anyone who missed this thread !) to pitch in with good melodious numbers. Always nice to hear SPB, SJ, PBS, et al irresp of the language |

You don't need to be told the basics: Karn becomes Karna, Arjun Arjuna, so Vivek Viveka! Na?
Anything beyond 30 days is termed a 'life' in HF parlance. Birth-to-death of a song here is 30 days, na? Aur mere Kannada se bach ke rehna!! Mumbai Univ mein Diploma in Kannada ka highest score mere naam pe darz hai - jaakar dekhna Aur haan, vahaan jaaoge toh - masti maad beda!! Masti nahi karna. Don't do masti. Got it? Self - belief is the most potent force.

'wahaan jaaoge to' ..kahaan jaaoge to ?? Mumbai Univ ??!!
So aapne kannada bhi seekha hai !! (Aur kehte hain ki kannada samajh mein nahin aata ...!! ) QUOTE(Mandrake @ Aug 16 2005, 06:42 PM) No Mandrake ... not yet ! Lets see if there are more requests and then we can take it from there. meanwhile, I'll listen to the songs listed in the thread and then probably request a few. *Ive been saying that in almost all regional threads ! * *log meri pitaai karne waale hain !* |

Vivek, hoping against hope?
The kannadigas on HF are a silent lot. See the uploads are almost all done by me, and no one really asked for them. To expect requests, you'll have to catch someone non-kannadiga here (the real reason being, all the true kannadigas already have these songs ) Self - belief is the most potent force.
