Released in 1990, Journey is an album produced by the maestro's protege' and student Jai Uttal Accompanied by Shri Swapan Chaudhuri on the tabla, shaker, electronic percussion, Shri Pranesh Khan on the dholak, Duggi Tarang, Swarmandal and Tabla,James Pomwerantz on the Sitar, Swarmandal and Tanpura, Biran Godden on the Guitar, Jai Uttal on Keyboards, Synthesizer, John Bergamo - Trap Drums, Conga, Chimes and bells, Mala Ganguli - Tanpura This album is not purely classical but more a blend of a confluence of Indian tradtional music and isntruments like the Sarod, Sitar, Swarmandal with western instruments...a magical journey.
