This whole "give me recipe and I will cook" doesn't really work well for me . I belong to the traditional indian male "give me food and I will eat"

So when can I visit you Nimmijii for the great konkaNii food ?? (sorry for the "maan na maan main teraa mehemaan approach )

anyway, here is my contribution to this thread. (was planning to do it for a long time)
This is a konkaNii poem by poet borkar read by pu. la. deshpaa.nDe.
I will try to transliterate the lyrics and then hope that some konkaNii guru will translate it. (I understand the gist quite OK, may be borkar's konkaNii is maraThisized, or may be konkaNii is not very difficult to understand for someone who understands marathi)

Abt the recipes - give me anything that you can do with a combo of potatoes, tomatoes and green peas - coz that is the simplest to start with.

I know many 'cooks' who have dished out the ugggh-est batata bhaaji during my hostel days

Hmm...this is the problem with Konkani.......(Esp'lly the ones N speaks)...... It looks close to neither Marathi.....nor the 2 south-Indian languages I know..........Can't make out anything......and have to 'compulsarily' wait till Mandrake replies to N's comments......
