Anyways...that 2nd Lata-Rafi duet - I couldn't even find it in HCD. HCD says there are 2 Lata-Rafi duets from "Naach Uthe Sansar" - one I already uploaded for U. The other song is "Naach Uthe Sansar" - and I have that - and it turned out to be a Rafi solo - and does not even have the words Naach Uthe Sansar. I think HCD has done some error somewhere there. Ahh well...we shall keep looking for the song. Sani. - Music Has No Language -

Hello One and All,
Below is an un-released song of Lata Mangeshkar - from the film Devdas - music by Rahul Dev Burman - lyrics by Gulzar. From her voice, I think the year is sometime in 1970s. I got this song after a great battle (literally; battle field was Yahoo!'s Lata group; comparable to the battle in Lord of the Rings, only it was fought through wit and words) - a battle of 2-3 months - and fruit is sweet, I must say. Song #14: Lata - Kuhu Kuhu Kuhu Koyaliya - Devdas (unreleased) - RDB Also please check out the ID-tag and the Clip properties (using real-player, for example) of this file - I have added in the Lyrics (obtained from Yahoo's Lata group too) and a pic of the diva (source: www). Anyone knows the OTHER songs (lata solos and duets) from this same un-released film ??? If so, please post a list of other songs from the film - and if U have those songs - all the better, I guess - do upload them, in that case. Sani. Song #17 (this was requested by someone back in May 2005 - I don't think it was uploaded then - this is a "drinking mood" kinda theme - excellent music)
Lata - Pyaasa Mera Dil Kitni Shaam Se - Ehsan (1970) music: R.D.Burman, lyrics: Majrooh Sultanpuri Song is 4:52min long, but the file is only @ 127 Kbps - clear quality nonetheless. (Keywords: Pyasa, Ehsaan) Enjoy! - Music Has No Language -

I heard this song a few days ago. This seems to be her voice in the 80's (stand to be corrected with facts). The original number sung by Sachin-Karta in the 30's is just mind-boggling and for lovers of old bengali hits, no variant of that song can match up to that masterpiece. The wordings are alsmost the same: kuhu kuhu kuhu kuhu koyelia koyelia kuho-rilo mahua-boney mahua-boney mahua-boney...kuhu kuhu..... Regards-Archie. |

Howdy Mr.Archie, Thanks a lot for that piece of info - didn't know it was based on another song. More surprising is that this could/is Lata's voice in the 80s - maybe early 80s. Now, (being Bengali, and a fan of classical indian music, I have to ask), is the original nuber by Sachin-Karta uploaded somewhere in this group ? If not - would really really appreciate if U could upload it (in any appropriate sub-forum). I really wonder what other tracks this un-released film Devdas might have. Sani. - Music Has No Language -
