I was in Pakistan, a young kid, when MJ fever hit, and it was BIG! MJ is probably the biggest entertainment phenomena my lifetime will witness. And yes, he was a great musician too. "The evil that men do lives after them. The good is oft interred with their bones...."

I do believe that the dizzying heights of stardom and the tender age at which he achieved them would make any person go loopy. In his case, he did genuinely suffer from lupus and vitiligo - both pretty nasty diseases, and lupus can also be life threatening (including heart attack). Could his frequent bouts of surgery have been instigated due to his disease? Perhaps. What's sad is that he was not productive for longer because of his personal issues.

On another note, HF was down for quite a few hours approx. 24-30 hours ago. I understand google, twitter and many other websites experienced problems because of the sheer number of people browsing the web as a reaction to his death.....
