Hi,

How many of us know well the meaning of the abbreviations use by members of HF in thier threads?

I believe %age would lesser than expectation.

I listed out below of such kind of chat slangs along with their meaning. Moreover, I also placed here the symbols/characters to know how to create smiley with. Hopefully you would like.


AFAIK = As Far As I Know
AFK = Away From Keyboard
ASAP = As Soon As Possible
BBL = Be Back Later
BBN = Bye Bye Now
BBS = Be Back Soon

The Basic Construction of a Smiley

Your list is missing perhaps one of the most common ones: LMAO which is short form of LMFAO. tongue1.gif Perhaps it's a parent approved list.....

Anyways when I first started learning this language some years back, my source was:

I am just guessing but I think it was Marci who was behind the creation. I also feel it is a brilliant piece of thought.
