I'd like to start off by thanking SF for the inspiration - to post pics. I probably would not have tried venturing into uploading pics - thought it was too cumbersome.. And thanks to Sureshji for the advise on how to go about resizing pics...
These are pics again of Chikmanglur - a little town I visit almost every month to meet my nephew who is an a boarding school here... And of a place called Sakleshpur nearby - where we went for a trek... Stayed at a small place that is let out for people who want to go for treks... there are dorms here and above all, tents pitched out in the open.... cozy and warm... all you hear in the nights is the sound of the crickets and the winds blowing away Chikmanglur - The woodways estate We climbed up till the tip of the rock seen in the distance Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water. - Albert Schweitzer Without music life would be a mistake - Friedrich Nietzsche Where words fail, music speaks - Hans Christian Anderson Music is spiritual. Bhavita..great pictures !
We crossed sakleshpur enroute chikmagalur..and saw a fabulous residential school there..with so idyllic surroundings...with a lake abutting the school grounds..and lush greenery everywhere..felt sorry that i couldnt study there.. hmm...now am convinced that there is lot more to see in chikmagalur..what fascinates me is the natural beauty which keeps on changing...from cloudy to sunny to misty...Could stay on the road side with a flask of coffee..forever... please do keep adding pictures... After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.
