Mithun Chakraborty hospitalised

While shooting for Sajid Khan's Housefull 2 in London, Mithun Chakraborty had to be rushed to the hospital, much to the horror of the unit. The veteran actor initially complained of a stomach ache but did not pay much heed to it.

Everyone thought it must have been a bad stomach because of something he ate. But as the day progressed, Mithunda's pain only intensified. Finally, he had to be hospitalised.

Says a source from the set in Petersborough, England, "On Monday, he suddenly complained of a stomach ache. He thought something he ate must not have agreed with him. Since he wasn't required for the shoot, we asked him to rest it out."

Once the unit members realised the gravity of the situation, everyone panicked. "Mithunda is not a fussy person at all. So when he complained, we knew it was serious," added the source.

After investigation, tests and medication, Mithun was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday. It turned out to be nothing serious.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, clearly, was one of the few people who stayed calm. He said, "Yes, Mithunda did have a bit of a setback yesterday. He had to be admitted to the hospital. But he is fine now. He's resting and recuperating in the hotel."

Mithun's son Mahaakshay said, "It was nothing to be alarmed about. My father only had a bout of gastric trouble. He was in the hospital for a day, but has been discharged now. The shooting of Housefull 2 is over and he will return in a couple of days
