I am presenting here the story of Anarkali in the voice of 'Shabnam Majeed', you can also hear the people speaking persian language thus depicting the real picture of Mughal era, the song is just awesome.

Turn off the lights, sit at a quiet place and listen to this gem........

==============================

For me, listening to Mohammad Rafi is an addiction!

I initially heard this song when the video started showing up on the music channels. I was mistaking Shabnam Majeed's voice for Nayyara Noor. She is new and the texture to her voice is beautifully delicious.

thanks, myawan for posting this. It was great listening to it. I have this album but I could never figure out what was up with the sequence of songs in it!

Shoaib Mansoor's work on the video and the historical aspect of the song, in general was good. Also, it was much better when compared to the chai-drinking debacle of Baba Bulleh Shah's 'Tere Ishq Nachaaya Kar Thayya Thayya' . In that one, 'Sufi Kalaam' got the traditionally bollywood/lollywood touch. Also, Riaz Qadri didn't impress much with his singing on that one.
