Hi Rinki,

I think you have some mistake. Already I have downloaded most of the songs. But sometimes my internet connection gives trouble to download for low bandwidth. That's why I could not download one/two. But I will d/l these within half an hour (if my bandwidth is better). And I have given you thanks for keeping my request. Because I have been searching all the songs of Sabita and Antara for a couple of years. I think after this letter no misunderstanding will take place in between us. Ki thik aachhe????

when i saw the hattimaatim song...i was reminded of my childhood days...we had this song sung by Alpana Banerjee, on a 78 rpm record....and the other side was Moynar ma moynamati ......i'm talking of some time in the early 60s !

This song is different from the one by Alpana Banerjee,it is also known as "Gorbori Singh".

3 more songs by Antara Chowdhury, the Hindi versions of these are well-known to all.

1."Ekdin Shondhaay" is the Bengali version of "Jhirjhir Jhirjhir Badarwa Barse" by Lata Mangeshkar and Hemant Kumar from the movie "Parivar"

2."Jonomo Jonomero Shaathi" is the Bengali version of "Teri Galiyon Mein Hum Aayen" by Manna Dey and Antara Chowdhury from the movie "Minoo"

3."Shudhu Tomaari Jonno" is the Bengali version of "Maine Tere Liye" by Mukesh from the movie "Anand"

The next 2 songs were originally recorded by Sabita Chowdhury,but unfortunately I don't have those.So I would request anyone having them to please u/l them.

Yes,these songs are from various CD's by Antara Chowdhury,viz.,"Shurjer Kho(n)je","Kothaay O Shure Salil Chowdhury",etc.

The lyrics of all the songs are by Salil Chowdhury.


The next song was composed by Sanjay Chowdhury(Salil Chowdhury's son),but the lyrics were penned by Salil Chowdhury

Hi Rinki,

Thank u for ur Antara and others songs. Keep uploading alongwith the others bengali songs which i requested. But I found that Antara_Jhonon_Jhonon_Baje song is corrupted. After downloading it can not be extracted. I have downloaded two times. But it is showing same problem. Will u rectify and reupload it??

Rinki, thanx for these great songs. I particularly liked the song that Antara, Sabita, Sanchari and
Salil-da sang together. Nice catchy tunes. What year were the Antara songs recorded?
Also, the second song in this post "Jhonon jhonon baaje" seems to be corrupted. Can you re-upload
it when you get a chance please?
